Option ‘Don't check Call-ID’
SIP Inspector understands sessions: it places incoming and outgoing messages in the session (call) they belong to by the Call-ID, and creates a new session when the scenario says it should. In some cases it is more important to follow the order of the messages than to separate sessions. This is useful when the messages of different sessions are interleaved: a few messages of session 1, then a few of session 2, then again session 1, and so on, and all of them have to come in exactly that order. Tell the program to follow the order and not the sessions with Options/Don't check Call-ID (or -noCID).
With the option on:
- there is a single call. Every incoming message goes to it whatever its Call-ID is, and the scenario is executed strictly in the order of its entries;
- only one call runs at a time. Therefore Calls/sec and Max Concurrent are set to 1 and locked (they look different to show it). Total Calls still counts: the calls run one after another. When the option is turned off the fields get back the values they had before;
- turn the option on or off before pressing Run: the choice is read when the run starts.
Scenarios that are made from a capture with Order: as captured (see Trace to Scenario) need this option: they have the messages of all dialogs in one sequence, each dialog with a Call-ID of its own.
